409 Day is Coming Soon!

Since 409 Family launched in April 2022, it’s been our mission to be a bridge between every aspect of the community, whether they’re neighbors from different cultures and socio-economic groups, families looking for places to volunteer together, bringing small businesses and customers together, and more.  It’s been an amazing year, and we’re working on our biggest bridge yet – partnering with the Beaumont Convention & Visitors Bureau to bring the entire community together for a day of fun, joy, and togetherness at the inaugural 409 Day!

On April 25, 409 Family & the Beaumont CVB will be receiving a proclamation from Beaumont City Council declaring the last Saturday of every April ‘409 Day’.  The 1st annual 409 Day, brought to you by Eastex Urgent Care, will take place April 29 from 11 AM – 6 PM at the newly-renovated Tyrrell Park Nature Center, located inside Tyrrell Park at 3930 Babe Zaharias Drive, in Beaumont.  We’ve got over 70 confirmed vendors and organizations participating, live music, inflatables, food trucks, free crafts and activities, kickball, disc golf, and more!

And we’re just getting started!  We are also partnering with restaurants, boutiques, and other brick and mortars who can’t be at the event and asking them to offer special deals or packages, host happy hours, or other fun celebrations in order to make this a true community-wide event!

We can’t wait to continue to connect the community in new and exciting ways,
and keep reminding everyone of all the good the 409 has to offer!

409 Day Know Before You Go

-What is 409 Day?
409 Day is a day to celebrate community, togetherness, and all things 409.  A one-day festival designed to bring neighbors together, showcase local talent, highlight area small businesses and entrepreneurs, flaunt regional attractions, and more!  The entire area is invited to attend, whether you’re from the 409 or beyond!

-How much does it cost?
Admission is free!  There will also be a large selection of free crafts and activities provided by local organizations.  However, we will also have a vendor market, and food trucks, so you’ll only need to pay for what you wanna eat and what you wanna take home!

-What food trucks will be there?
Home Plate, Spyders Kabobs, Broke Boyz, and Tacos El Primo will all be on deck serving up delicious food!  Mabel’s, La Real Michoacana, and Oz Cafe will also be on hand for yummy treats.  Mardi Gras Southeast Texas will be out serving up beer and drinks.  And don’t forget about the variety of home bakers selling their wares in the vendor market.  Treat yo self!

-How many vendors do you have?
We have over 80 confirmed participants!  It’s an incredible mix of small businesses promoting their products, as well as service-based organizations and nonprofits who have all committed to providing a free craft or activity in addition to passing out their information to the public.  Come out and support them all!

-Who is the entertainment?
409 Day will feature the amazing talents of Caleb & April, and Ole Lonesome, as well as spotlighting local dance studios, youth musicians, The Andre Harness Quartet, and even the fantastic Beaumont Community Players!  You won’t want to miss it!

-What is there to do?
Henna, jiu jitsu, inflatable bounce houses, yard games, face painting, a petting zoo, and more!  Tyrrell Park will also be showcasing all of the amenities located nearby, with Tyrrell Park Stables offering $10 pony rides, Beaumont Botanical Gardens hosting a scavenger hunt, and more!

-Where do I park?
Parking is located at various lots throughout Tyrrell Park, as well as be a temporary lot established outside the Tyrrell Park main gate.  Transportation will be running in a continuous loop throughout the park during event hours, making stops at each location within the park every 15-20 minutes to offer a tour of the park as well as free and convenient transport! We will do our best to run a tight schedule, but please be prepared that slight shuttle delays may be possible.
Note: the Henry Homberg Golf Course parking lot is reserved for golf course parking ONLY.

-Who is hosting 409 Day?
409 Day is being hosted by 409 Family and Visit Beaumont, Tx.  We also want to recognize our incredible sponsors who have partnered with us to provide the community with this amazing local celebration: Eastex Urgent Care, Humana Insurance, NewPath Therapy and Wellness, ExxonMobil Beaumont, and Roy West for Mayor of Beaumont.

Thank you to 409 Day Sponsors
