The very first 409 Family Holiday Gift Guide is here!
This was a little bit of a wild ride, sparked by an idea mid-October. We wondered if we started too late, if we had time to do this properly, and we spent the rest of the whirlwind trying to find that balance of putting together something for this year, but doing it justice in the time we had. It’s been crazy, and we’re exhausted – but we’re so very proud, and we hope you are too.
It seems like more local favorites are closing every day, and we’re not here for that. One of the missions of 409 Family has always been to unite small businesses with customers, and we’re beyond excited to share this latest bridge with you! Hopefully the 409 Family Gift Guide encourages you to shop small, shop local, and helps you find your new favorite small business! Please note that there are clickable links throughout to help you easily connect with each business!
We also included a few “just for fun” pages, like Southeast Texas Holiday Bingo (with a special shout out to our mosquitos and fun holiday activities), a Holiday Bucket List Checklist, and a special 409 Family Letters from Santa feature!
We’ve already got so many plans for next year! We’re starting early, we’re ready for all the planning and big ideas that are flowing, and we know we’re going to blow your minds!
Our hope is that this little local gift guide becomes something that your family comes to count on a favorite Christmas tradition or hallmark, as much as the Toys ‘R’ Us catalogs of our own childhoods, and the Amazon Wish Books of today. We rely, as always, on your feedback, so please let us know what you loved, what could be done better, and what you’d like to see more of so we can be sure to include it in the planning for next year!
