I think we can all agree that this Southeast Texas heat is already bordering on disrespectful, right? Before all the detractors barge in with the “It’s just gettin’ started! Wait until August!” – I know! And that’s what’s disrespectful! Summer in Southeast Texas is a tricky time for moms – trying to keep the kids occupied and make fun summer memories, all while trying to keep them cool and hydrated. With months of oppressive heat looming ahead of us, splash pads and pools are the godsend you’re looking for! For those of us who aren’t lucky to have a pool in the backyard, here’s your ultimate summer guide to all the Southeast Texas Splash Pads and Pools!
We apologize that this list is a little light on images. We’re on a mission this summer to try out every single splash pad and pool on this list. Who’s joining us?!
Use the interactive map above to plan all your summer splash pad fun!

Beaumont City Pools traditionally open Memorial Day, but are dependent on lifeguard staffing. Beaumont City Pools are free for residents and non-residents.
Alice Keith Swimming Pool
The original Alice Keith swimming pool was built in the Depression-era as an above-ground masterpiece complete with promenade (check out this photo from the Tyrrell Historical Library of the grand lady in her heyday!), but decay led to its eventual replacement in the late 1990s. The current Alice Keith swimming pool is almost two pools in one, with one side featuring a beach-access style grade and a mushroom spray fountain, while the other side is a more traditional rectangular pool. There are also restroom facilities, a community center, and picnic areas on site. The entrance to the original pool still stands, so make sure you stop and take a photo with a piece of Beaumont history!
