409 Love for National Pizza Day!
There are plenty of foods people love: tacos, BBQ, gumbo – all these foods have passionate fans, but nothing beats PIZZA!
Yes, Pizza! One of the best things about pizza is that there are endless versions. Stuffed crust, thin crust, meat lovers, veggie lovers, gluten free and cauliflower, I mean everything!! More than likely, you have enjoyed pizza for a birthday party, late night snack, or a quick impromptu dinner. No matter the reason, it is always here for us to enjoy.
People love pizza and for so many reasons. In fact, they love pizza so much that it has its own day- National Pizza Day, which is celebrated on February 9th! If you need a place to celebrate or just indulge, here are some great Southeast Texas places that will be happy to serve you a “slice!”
Beaumont
◦ Crown Pizza – For an authentic thin crust, look no further. Specializing in original Neapolitan style pizza, this place will take you back to Naples.
◦ Elsa’s Greek Grill – Over 10 options of pizza, there is surely something for the pizza lover. Looking for a gluten free or cauliflower crust? This is your place.
◦ New York Pizza & Pasta – a favorite place for New York style brick oven pizza. Whether downtown for lunch or around town for dinner, enjoy their two locations!
◦ Benny’s Pizza – A “must” on my list of new places to try! I would not miss out on this place especially when I hear: Chicken, Ranch, & Bacon. Stay tuned!
◦ Struggle Street Brewing Company – Located on Calder Avenue, and offering many choices of pizza, this is a place not to pass up! On pretty days be sure to enjoy your slice outside on their patio!
Nederland/Groves
◦ Buckstin Brewery Company – Looking for a Pizza Masterpiece, head over to Nederland! With close to 20 options of pizza, there is surely something new to try each time!
◦ Pizza Artista – Craving pizza any day of the week, then check out their specials offered each day! Close to 30 pizzas, there is something for everyone!
Sour Lake
◦ Goodfellas Restaurant & Pizzeria – with a dozen pizza options that all sound delicious, nothing beats a dessert pizza! Apple Topping Pizza with Streusel…..enough said!
As our city grows, so do our choices for our favorite comfort food. So, whether you like circles or squares, or celebrating single or in pairs, get out there and celebrate National Pizza Day!
