When we think of local and fresh, then it’s time for a roundup of our local farmers markets! Since this past spring, farmers markets have been popping up all over Southeast Texas, and we’re excited to share and support our local farmers and artisans.

Browse through our list and see which are nearby and fit your schedule. Whether your grocery list calls for vibrant fruits and veggies, fresh baked breads and treats, or full bouquets of flowers, these local farmers markets are filled with a wide variety to accommodate. You are sure to walk away with basic, locally sourced groceries and unique, handmade finds.

Beaumont Farmers Market | 6525 College St, Beaumont, TX 77707

Hours: Saturdays from 8-11am

Open year round, this locally run, open-air market hosts vendors within a 150-mile radius from Beaumont, TX. They have partnered with the Beaumont Public Library System to offer a free story time and also schedule local musical performances for your enjoyment while shopping onsite.

Hamshire-Fannett Farmers Market | 22044 Burrell-Wingate Rd, Beaumont, TX 77705

Hours: Once a month, 8am-12pm

Newly organized, this farmers market features locally grown or sourced food and artisan goods held at Grace Community Church in Fannett. The first farmers market was held this past March of 2023 and was a delightful success. Locals are saving the dates and looking forward to more freshness to come each month.

Riverfront Farmers Market|600 Grigsby, Port Neches, TX 77651

Hours: Every other Saturday, 8am-Noon

Summer Hours: 8-11am

After seeing a need in the community, locals quickly pulled together at the end of 2022 and started the first ever farmers market for Port Neches! Find area favorite vendors selling locally grown &/or sourced coffee, greens, grass-fed meat, bouquets, pies, and so much more. Look for this market at Riverfront Park, near the Riverfront Pavilion, every other Saturday. 

Sour Lake Farmers Market | 455 S Ann St, Sour Lake, TX 77659

Hours: Once a month, 9am-1pm

Another farmers market that began just this February of 2023, Sour Lake residents are excited for a monthly market. Along with produce, meats, and homemade goods, informational and educational booths also make an appearance at this farmers market. Don’t miss out on a market day by keeping up with their seasonal schedule here.

Kountze Farmers Market | 825 M L King St, Kountze, TX 77625

Hours: 8-11am

This past May was the Kountze community’s farmers market debut. Vendors are serving up the usual, fresh and locally sourced produce, breads, eggs, jams, etc. They even have fresh, wild-caught catfish filets available and a local favorite coffee shop serving up the morning java. Follow their Facebook page or the Kountze Chamber of Commerce for the date of the next market day, or check the monthly community calendar.

Bridge City Farmers Market | 101 Parkside Dr, Bridge City, TX 77611

Hours: Saturdays from 8-11am

Last year, Bridge City added their own farmers market to the mix. Not only can the usual produce, eggs, and baked goods be found here, but more featuring hand-crafted, handmade, and locally produced products. Young entrepreneurs are even joining in this market, such as Bella, who will have multiple unique products and services for purchase. Walking your dog as you shop will be a service she is happy to provide for her customers this year. Additionally, this 2023 season will include a local musician lineup at the market.

Mauriceville Farmers Market | 7441 Cohenour Rd, Orange, TX 77632

Hours: 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month from 5-7pm

The Mauriceville Farmers Market is growing and serving its community with fresh produce, homemade items and more! Follow their Facebook page for special announcements such as seed swap days, plant sales, and more. Food trucks tend to make an appearance at this farmers market as well, so make a day of shopping fresh.

Kirbyville Farmers Market | 1117 S Margaret Ave, Kirbyville, TX 75956

Hours: Saturdays from 8am-3pm

New to the community since March of 2023! The market offers a large variety of items, without several vendors selling identical items. You will be pleasantly surprised at the variety of jellies, jams, bbq sauces, mustards, baked goods, pickles, salsas, yard eggs, produce, jewelry, tumblers, clothing, craft items and so much more. The market is located in the field across from Magnolia Park. Weather permitting, it will be open every Saturday from 8am-3pm.

Winnie Farmers Market | 335 S. Park Street, Winnie, TX, 77665

Hours: Once a month from 8am-12pm

New on the scene as of July 2023! It is not unusual to enjoy live music or try out some yoga while out shopping at this farmers market. The market offers a large variety of items, such as eggs, honey, fresh seafood, potted plants, canned goods, and so much more. Once a month at Winnie-Stowell Park from 8am-12pm, attend the Winnie Farmers Market. Be sure to follow their Facebook page to keep up with market dates. This November 4th will be the last market day of the year, so don’t miss out!
