We are so excited to announce Shorkey Center’s 2nd Annual Trike Rally event and fundraiser! This event is free and open to the public. There will be several bike/trike paths and courses to ride on, as well as a town for the kids to ride their bikes/trikes through to play games, do crafts, and receive prizes. We will also have a raffle with plenty of children’s toys/items, gift cards, as well as items for adults! This year we have added a silent auction as well with the prize being an Amtryke Adaptive Tricycle!!

The proceeds from the event and fundraising efforts by the Shorkey staff will be used to purchase specialized equipment for Shorkey Center therapy patients, such as adaptive tricycles, strollers, activity or feeding chairs, and swings! Insurance companies typically do not cover this type of equipment as it is not necessary for their everyday function. However, most of these children will never know the feeling of being able to ride a tricycle or bicycle alongside their siblings or friends. This fundraiser gives us an opportunity to provide this experience for these kiddos!

Adaptive tricycles and bicycles will be available on the day of the event for families to trial with their children as well! Weather depending, children will be able to participate in bike races, move through an interactive course, and participate in games with volunteers throughout the community.
