Southeast Texas Cool Treats: A Master List

Through an excessive amount of research by our families (definitely the best kind of “research,” by the way) and a sweet partnership with delicious insight from Best Bites, we have the ULTIMATE list of cool treats to refresh every taste bud in Southeast Texas! While this list is certainly ideal for the summertime, 409ers know that it’s always the perfect time for a cool treat.

Cha Cha Cafe (Beaumont)

BEAUMONT

Cha Cha Café: Whether you love boba or not, this little café is a wonderful spot for delicious teas, smoothies, and one of a kind bubble waffles! Customize with your favorite flavors and toppings.
409 Fam Faves: Thai Tea or Coffee for Mom & bubble waffle with every chocolate option for the kids.

Charlee and the Cookie Factory: On a hot day, pop by for ice cream, malts, shakes, and floats.

Delilah’s Logic: Signature, handcrafted Kool Cups; message page to place an order with this talented, local private chef.

Happy Time Tea Lounge: Comfy place to get creative and sketch or play card games with friends all while cooling off with unique teas, shakes, and treats. Dairy free options available and control the sugar level on any drink.
409 Fam Fave: Earl Grey Honey Lavender Milk Tea (if you’re a fan, brown sugar boba is the way to go on this order, but you can always order boba-free)

Hard Bean Coffee Beaumont: The NEW location at the Silos in Beaumont (10425 East Tex Freeway, Suite 800) opened on July 14th with their Grand Opening on August 5th!
409 Fam Fave: White Zombie

La Real Michoacana: Two locations to enjoy: Dowlen & College; lemonades, homemade ice creams, popsicles, agua fresca, elote, and more!
409 Fam Faves: homemade mango ice cream with chamoy and tajin; strawberries and cream with Mexican vanilla ice cream; hollowed out pineapple with lemonade and all the treats, strawberry agua fresca … their “plating” is fantastic! Always makes me feel like I’m on a remote island vacation with such a drink.

Mabel’s: It is difficult to choose a favorite cool treat here! From elaborate sno-cones to ice cream topped brownies, or a Mabel’s trademark, waffle topped with your choice of ice cream, cheesecake, and a variety of flavor combinations.

Mabel’s Boys Italian Ice: These 10 & 12 year old brothers have been helping their parents build the local favorite, Mabel’s, for the past four years. Now, they’re branching out with their own summer business! Support our hardworking, local youth and enjoy their new, delicious Italian ice options.

Manning’s Skating Rink now serving flavored, regular and frozen lemonades.

Marble Slab Creamery: Another favorite with two convenient locations to enjoy! Marble Slab Beaumont – Dowlen Road & Marble Slab on Walden Road both offer pure, reliable creamy goodness. The Walden Road location is just down the road from Tyrrell Park & Cattail Marsh, making it the perfect spot to cooldown after exploring the marsh, golfing, or walking the botanical gardens.

Nieves Mi Ranchito: Two locations: one on College St. and another conveniently located inside Parkdale Mall (where Subway used to be). Chill out indoors with a cool treat while enjoying a little window shopping.

Kona Ice: travels and frequents parks and other surrounding cities. Available to book for events too! 409 Fam Fave: Butterbeer with cream.

Rao’s Bakery: Here for the gelato, iced coffees, and cake balls, and again, two convenient locations: Dowlen & Calder

Refresqueria Arcoiris (Beaumont)

Refresqueria Arcoiris: NEW spot on College Street. Refreshing concoctions of both sweet and savory options.

Sertinos Cafe: Treat the kids to a scoop of Blue Bell ice cream and enjoy board/card games in this relaxing, chill environment.

Slim Shady’s Snow Cones: combined with local favorite Roger’s BBQ Barn: 15879 Old Sour Lake Rd. Beaumont Tx. 77713

Snack Shack: Don’t sleep on these chilly options of snow cones, milk shakes, floats, and other yummy creations.

Snow Cone Wiz (aka: D & D Drive In #2): Boasted as one of the Top 5 Snow Cone Stops in SETX, pull up to the corner of Magnolia and Trinidad (4490 Magnolia St.) for some of the best chilly treats on hot, summer days.

Sugar Rush: The place to be for Cool Cup season and more!

The Yogurt Bar: Previously known as “The Yogurt Spot”, this rebranding is anticipated to open later this summer, reopening in a new location on Phelan.

Quenchies (Beaumont)

Quenchies: If you love those adorable gummy bears placed on top of each sno-cone, ask for a “bear cave” to make it an extra treat! Pop inside the shop to see how they offer so much more than sno cones too. This candy store and beyond is definitely a favorite cool down spot.
409 Fam Faves: This mom enjoys her sno-cones a little more sour than sweet, so flavoring has to include sour added. The kids are still all about the colors or the new section of Blue Bell ice cream scoops.

BRIDGE CITY

Bayou Blizzard: Cannot beat the view nestled on the dock of High Tides. Sno-cones are definitely called for after a game of sand volleyball here.

Snowcone Stand: also known as Cardinal or Bobcat Snow Cones
409 Fam Faves: wedding cake with a scoop of ice cream; sunset delight; nectar, ice cream and cream topping.

Tropicana Ice Cream Parlor: A local favorite with a huge selection and endless customizations.

BUNA

Miller’s Drive Thru: New Orleans style snow cones and lemonade, the retro way.

CHINA
