Southeast Texas Holiday Fun – Parades, Santa Sightings, Tree Lightings, & More!

It’s not even December yet, but the Holiday Season has arrived in Southeast Texas!

As usual, there is a LOT going on in Southeast Texas during the most wonderful time of the year. For the full calendar of events, check out the Events tab to browse all the happenings going on this month! You can view by day, week, month, category, and even using your location to find fun near you!


Ho! Ho! Ho! Get ready because Santa Claus is coming to town!

Follow good ole Saint Nick to local favorite stops throughout the area as he checks in on our boys and girls before heading back up north. From photo ops to breakfast time to neighborhood drive thrus, children can get a little one-on-one time with the jolly man himself thanks to 409 Family’s Southeast Texas Santa Sightings!

Santa By Appointment 
Santa By Appointment can be reached for appointments or questions at (409) 838-4832 or by filling out this form on their contact page. Since they work ONLY by appointment, visiting Santa Clem is a VERY fun time!

Santa at Parkdale Mall
Starting November 18th-December 24th, visits with Santa are always FREE! Photo packages are available for purchase. Special Santa events are happening at the end of November through the month of December. Pets can even get in on the fun, Mondays 4-7pm.

Santa at Central Mall
Santa arrives on Friday, November 25th from 12-5pm this year! From then on, you can expect him at Central Mall on December 2nd through December 24th. Bring your camera and take FREE photos with Santa on these dates and times.

Lumberton Fire & EMS Santa’s Helper
Starting Saturday night, November 26th, the Lumberton Fire & EMS is proud to support the community and escorted Santa through the town on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Lumberton residents can follow along on their Facebook page for a Google maps “Santa Live Tracker” as they post their route on those nights. Catch some candy canes and give Santa a wave!

A Gift of Hope: Festival of Lights | Beaumont’s First Baptist Church
Hear the Christmas story of Hope & Peace through this multi-sensory Festival of Lights. FREE admission.

CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital | 2830 Calder Ave
A long time tradition of spectacular light display and nativity scene on the grounds. FREE admission.

The Ray of Light Spectacular | 270 Pinemont Dr. Sour Lake, TX
Starting on December 1st- January 1st; open nightly (unless there is rain or standing water).
Sunday -Thursday 6pm-9:30pm; Friday & Saturday 6pm- 11pm
Tune your radio to 103.1 and enjoy the full light show (20 minutes long & plays on a loop).
All donations benefiting Unstoppable Abigail.

Christmas Strolls & Community Food Drive | Shangri La Botanical Gardens & Nature Center
Colorful light displays throughout the garden during the evenings of December 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, & 21 from 6-9pm (last entry at 8:30pm). FREE to the public. Donations greatly appreciated!

The Visit Beaumont, TX site has a list of local neighborhoods known for their holiday light displays also! Stay tuned for our special “Holiday Lights Scavenger Hunt” you can print and take along for a drive soon.

With our little corner of Southeast Texas cities a stone’s throw away from each other, we appreciate greater availability to fit a variety of schedules and the opportunity to enlarge our circle of community. Plus, we greatly appreciate that the majority of the light displays and parades are FREE or heavily discounted, making it more accessible for all families to join in.
